The T&T Tools 72″ Water Probe WPA72 is one of the most innovative probes for penetrating very dry and hard soil, including grounds with frozen layers. With a valve designed for connecting with a standard garden hose, the WPA72 does its job by allowing water to flow through the shaft and then out to the tip. This allows the water to soften the ground and make probing easier.
Featuring a thick-wall steel tubing, this probes shaft is strong against bending and breaking. Even with regular or repetitive use, users can rest assured that their WPA72 probe will stay in its perfect shape for a long period of time. Its handle and shaft are also threaded, allowing for a secure connection and ease in replacing the rod when needed. Replacement rods are sold separately.
For longer service life, users must use the WPA72 water probe only under appropriate conditions. This water probe is designed for low pressure only and must not be used in sites that exceed 100 pounds per square inch (PSI).
To further ensure that the probe does its job without causing inconvenience, the tip of WPA72 is made with hardened steel expert-designed to minimize the possibility of clogging. The tip is also beveled to make thrusting down into the ground easier. This innovative tip works well with the WPA72s high-quality shaft to deliver excellent results in every use.
Aside from the probing rod, the WPA72 Water Probe also features a handle made with steel tubing and grips made with vinyl. The steel handle provides a durable tubing for controlling the device while the vinyl grips feel soft in ones hands. These two features make control easier and the impact of probing more comfortable for the user. The grips also come in a bright yellow color for improved visibility; its important that probes are highly visible, especially when they are used to mark underground utility lines. Whats more, the vinyl grips insulate against cold, making the probe comfortable to hold even when working in cold job sites.
There are many perks when using a WPA72 probe. However, proper caution must be observed because this probe, unlike the Mighty Probe, is not insulated. As such, it doesnt provide protection against electric current and electric shock. If users want this protection in-built in their probe, then the Mighty Probe might be the better option for them.
Because of its features, the WPA72 water probe may be used in other applications aside from probing hard soil. Since it allows water to flow through its shaft then out to the tip, this probe is useful for backfilling trenches as well as cleaning meter boxes and catch basins.
